The Democratic Dialogue Project concentrates its efforts on 3 service pillars:
-
Capacity building aimed at social and political leaders, dialogue practitioners and facilitators, and UNDP/UN staff to increase awareness and provide skills and competences to respond dialogically to complex and multi-layered challenges, and to incorporate dialogic approaches to their work and fields of action.
-
Technical assistance to dialogue and other change processes initiatives and programs at two levels: national demands through the Country Offices, and regional processes and projects. Technical assistance includes conflict analysis, design, facilitation, systematization, logistics and assessment of dialogue and other change processes for crisis prevention.
-
Knowledge, networking and communications. The Community of Practice and Learning generates knowledge for the field of dialogue, both in the region and globally, and supports the implementation of the Project’s actions. Supporting, empowering and networking local communities of practitioners helps to install a culture of dialogue that improves effectiveness in the implementation of UNDP/UN development and governance programs. Systematized knowledge and relevant information on national and regional contexts valuable for the practice of dialogue are continuously disseminated through bulletins, publications and the Project’s website.
